Functieomschrijving
For a stable industrial production environment in the Zolder region, we are looking—through an interim agency—for a Maintenance Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for inspection-based, preventive, and corrective mechanical maintenance of machines and installations, ensuring that the production process runs optimally.Your responsibilities:
- Locating and resolving mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults
- Carrying out maintenance interventions during breakdowns with minimal impact on productivity
- Assembling, disassembling, repairing, overhauling, and replacing machine components
- Adjusting, aligning, and measuring machines and components
- Performing welding and machining tasks such as cutting, grinding, drilling, welding, and soldering
- Contributing to improvements in installations and maintenance processes
- Actively participating in continuous improvement within the technical department
- Working in a two-shift system
Functie-eisen
- You have a technical background, preferably in mechanics
- Experience with welding is a strong asset
- You have a hands-on approach and a no-nonsense mindset
- You are flexible and have a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- You are confident in proposing improvements and supporting change
- Safety is always your top priority
- You can work independently but also function well within a team
- You are willing to work in a two-shift system
- You have a forklift and aerial work platform certificate, or are willing to obtain one
Aanbod
- Fully legal employment in accordance with Belgian regulations, including social security, health insurance, and accrual of Belgian pension rights.
- Competitive salary depending on skills and experience (according to official rates or agreements with the client): €19 – €25/hour.
- Meal vouchers worth €5 per worked day (€105 – €110/month).
- Comfortable high-standard accommodation: furnished apartments with single rooms, including utilities (water, gas, electricity) and unlimited internet (~weekly cost €90, in line with market prices).
- Annual bonus – 8.33% of annual gross salary (around €1,600 net, paid once a year).
- Holiday allowance – 15.38% of annual gross salary (around €4,500 net, paid once a year).
- Family allowances for each child.
- Transport provided, depending on the distance between accommodation and workplace.
- Individual support from our English- and Polish-speaking team.
- Free accommodation during the first week of employment.
- Welcome package worth €25 (food products).
- If you come with your own car and use it for transportation, you will receive a €25 fuel card per week.
